George Sampson

George William Sampson (born 29 June 1993) is a street dancer and actor from Warrington, England. He won the second series of Britain's Got Talent on 31 May 2008 at the age of 14.

Britain's Got Talent

2007 series
In 2007, a dance teacher told Sampson that there were auditions in the area that would be right up his alley. He only discovered he'd be auditioning for the first series of Britain's Got Talent when he arrived. In his audition, he danced to "Drop" (Timbaland feat. Magoo & Fatman Scoop), receiving a yes vote from all three judges. However, despite Simon Cowell's enthusiasm, he was unable to convince the other two judges, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, to let Sampson proceed to the live semi-finals. This experience made Sampson determined to re-audition the following year and prove Holden and Morgan wrong. In the intervening time, he continued dancing on the streets of Manchester to improve his technique, and to raise money for his family.

2008 series
In 2008, Sampson successfully got through the first round of Britain's Got Talent series 2 auditions by dancing to "Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)". He then came top in the audience's vote in his semi-final with his arrangement of Mint Royale's big beat remix of "Singin' in the Rain", complete with an artificial rain machine on-stage, a formula that had previously been produced in a television advertisement for the Volkswagen Golf GTI.He subsequently won the audience's vote in the final, beating dance duo Signature (second place) and Andrew Johnston (third place). He broke into tears when his win was announced.Sampson was due to perform a different routine for the final, to a track by the Bee Gees,[which he described as involving "a lot of movement without me actually doing anything".An hour before the final started he changed his mind and, after consulting Simon Cowell, opted to re-perform his winning act from the semi-final.The Mint Royale version of "Singin' in the Rain" went to number 1 in the UK on download sales alone in the week following Sampson's performanceand Simon Cowell's label SyCo was bombarded with requests from fans to make a video for the song. It is the first time SyCo has signed up a non-singing act solely to make a video. In an interview the day after the final, Sampson told of his return to normality the Monday after the event.

After Britain's Got Talent

He asked the agent of Take That if he could get Sampson to sing, but it turned out he already liked to sing from a young age.His debut double a-side single titled Get Up on the Dance Floor/Headz Up was released on 24 November 2008, with the proceeds going to Great Ormond Street Hospital. After an early fault that meant the single couldn't be downloaded from iTunes for two days, the single finally debuted at number 30 in the UK Singles Chartand remained listed for 4 weeks. The single's position in the charts gradually lowered during that time.On 1 December 2008, his dance DVD Access 2 All Areas was released. The one-hourDVD contains a documentary about his rise to stardom, four music videos in which Sampson sings as well as dances and a behind the scenes look of those videos, dance tutorials and a set of photographs.

Are Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift Back Together?

"So this is me swallowing my pride Standing in front of you Saying I'm sorry for that night And I go back to December all the time It turns out freedom aint nothing but missing you Wishing that I realized what I had when you were mine I go back to December, turn around and make it all right I go back to December all the time"

yeah, "Back to December" is a song by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift about Taylor Lautner

Several rumors have been spreading that Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have reportedly gotten back together.

Swift and Lautner, who were caught getting cozy with one another at the Teen Choice Awards on August 7, dated back in 2009 after meeting on the set of Valentine's Day. Their relationship was cut short after three months due to their busy schedules.

“They were both way too busy with their careers then,” a source revealed. “He always felt terrible about the way things ended.”

Now it looks like Lautner is trying to rekindle the relationship.

According to several reports, the duo got back together “several weeks ago over the phone and e-mail after Taylor [Lautner] reached out to her.”

A source revealed that Lautner has been “down in the dumps because his relationship with Lily Collins is cooling off” and he wants a second chance with Swift.

What do you think of the idea of Lautner and Swift getting back together?

Emma Watson: Is She Dating Johnny Simmons?

One of the perks of being costars may be a budding romance for Emma Watson and Johnny Simmons, who appear together in the upcoming film The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

On Tuesday, Watson, 21, and Simmons, 24, stepped out for a meal together in Santa Monica, Calif., and looked very cozy.

Watson has been spending time in Los Angeles since filming Wallflower in Pittsburgh after wrapping up the final installment of her Harry Potter franchise. She does, however, plan to return to England this fall to spend a year studying at Oxford.

The actress has previously denied rumors that she and Simmons are romantically involved, though the two were photographed hiking together earlier this summer.

'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes' Star Tom Felton Dominates Red Carpet Style

It’s not enough that Tom Felton is tall, witty, and comes with a cute British accent (which makes every word out of his mouth seem both clever and charming). No, the star of Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes (in theaters today!) also happens to be a style savant with a penchant for deliciously skinny ties and polished blazers. When we can drag our eyes away from those piercing baby blues and lips that seem perpetually pressed into an adorable smirk (Emma Watson, aka GODDESS, had a crush on him, people), we’re focusing on his killer sartorial choices. After careful study, we’ve concluded that 23-year-old Tom is indeed Slyther-ing to the top of our style charts (hahaahaha... [SUCK IT, we’re going through Draco withdrawal]).

Like any pro, Tom sticks to a few signature trends and breezily repeats them (with elegant results) on the red carpet. We break them down for you here.

SNAZZY THREE-PIECE SUITS

When we think three-piece suits, we usually think of corporate types walking into stuffy job interviews. Watch fobs, that sort of thing. When we think Tom Felton in a three-piece suit, we think...well, it’s really hard to think because our brains are inundated with images of Tom looking super-duper sharp. The best part is he’s only getting better at wearing them. He wore a cute three-piece sans tie at the 2010 Pride of Britain Awards, then worked a bewitching brown version at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 U.K. premiere later that year. When he stepped out at the Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes carpet last month, Tom pulled off a dapper black three-piece that, judging by how snugly the vest enfolded his torso, was tailor-made for his bod. Excellent.

COOl ACCESSORIES

Girls possess piles of shoes, jewelry, and purses with which to dial up an outfit. Guys have it a lot harder in the accessory department. But does this faze Tom Felton? Not in the slightest. Take the 2009 New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Like a girl who throws on a pair of chandelier earrings to accent a plain dress, Tom drapes an untied bow tie around his collar, sending his all-gray ensemble to Trendytown. At the 2010 Mexico City premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, he again sported a fine outfit, a piped blazer layered over a navy shirt. But what makes all the difference is Tom's lustrous braided belt, which subtly highlights the color of his jacket's espresso-brown buttons. Then, there's Tom's favored prop: the scrap of silky fabric otherwise known as the pocket square, which he flaunted at the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. If his clothes could talk, we imagine they'd say, "...." Well, if his clothes would talk we daren't repeat ANY OF IT TO YOU PEOPLE. The bond would be sacred and we would coo and whisper in SECRETS. Jealous?

LAID-BACK LOAFER SHOES

We don't know many fellas under 30 who wear loafers 'round these parts, but apparently, it's quite commonplace across the pond to see a guy in slip-on shoes. As far as we can tell, Tom LIVES in them. At the 2004 British Independent Film Awards, a wee 16-year-old Tom, in loafers and a slightly baggy suit, looked like he was trying on his dad's clothes. Fast-forward to the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, where Tom had on a standard boy outfit (slim jeans, plaid button-down, watch). But whereas Joe Schmoe would’ve worn beat-up Converse, Tom mixed it up with spotless white boat shoes, proving he is far from average. Our favorite loafer look, though, is when he took a recent stroll around London in a beige pair that perfectly matched his oatmeal sweater and golden tan. Color coordination at its finest.

Justin Bieber Raps On Chris Brown Mixtape Track

Justin Bieber issued a proud declaration from his Twitter page: "SHAWTY MANE!! I'M BACK!" Bieber, whose MC name is Shawty Mane, appears on Chris Brown's Boy in Detention mixtape rapping on the track "Ladies Love Me."

Brown dropped the mixtape just in time for the weekend on his website, and the Bieber track samples Brown's "Look at Me Now." It was produced by David Banner.

Breezy shows off his signature bad-boy swagger, rapping about all his riches. "My bad/ I'm sorry/ I'm double-parked/ Yeah, that's my Bugatti/ And that's my Ferrari/ Next to my Ducati," he raps. "Man, my house so big take the escalator to the elevator/ Take the elevator to the private and then I jet," goes another verse.

The pals swap verses with the funky beat from "Look at Me Now" behind them. Bieber shows off his own lover-boy swag with lyrics like, "Baby, I'm your doctor/ I could be your rocker/ Swaggin', I'm not braggin' but I swear that I could rock ya, baby/ I'm not crazy/ I got swag like Patrick Swayze."

Bieber and Brown were spotted in the studio last month, and many fans were wondering what they were up to. This release marks Brown's first-ever rap mixtape release. In addition to Bieber, it features appearances from Tyga, Dawn Richard, Wiz Khalifa, Swizz Beatz and Kevin McCall, to name a few. 9th Wonder, DJ Chuckie and No I.D. are a few of the producers who get credits on the mixtape.

This isn't Bieber's first foray into the world of rapping. He rapped on the Sean Kingston track "Won't Stop" and spit some rhymes as Shawty Mane in a Twitter video he posted last year.

It's also a big month for Brown, who's up for several Moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month. He's nominated for his frantic Chris Tilley-directed video for "Look at Me Now." Brown is also slated to perform at the show.

Justin Bieber Hopes For 'More Memories' With Sean Kingston

On Tuesday night (August 2), Sean Kingston sat down with MTV News to talk about a Memorial Day weekend jet-ski accident that landed him in the hospital for more than a month. In the weeks since his release, he's been working to get his life and career back on track, all of which he opened up about during "MTV First: Sean Kingston."

He's been getting support from his pals, like teen superstar Justin Bieber, who made his way down to Miami earlier this month to visit Kingston. The two have collaborated on several tracks, including "Eenie Meenie," and toured together last year.

The 17-year-old shared this message with us in an interview that aired during the special: "I just want to say what's up, Sean? I'm glad you're doing well. I had fun hanging out with you in Miami, and there's plenty more memories to come."

Bieber was spotted in Kingston's hometown, where the two buddies kicked back. "We were just hanging out at his house, kicking it, driving around Miami and whatnot," Bieber explained of the trip. "It was a lot of fun. I got to relax and take time off."

During his trip, Bieber got a chance to see how well the "Beautiful Girls" singer has been doing in the months since the crash, which led Kingston to make the decision to lose a significant amount of weight. "His spirits are a lot higher," he said. "He still has to have people around him to make sure he's doing all right, but his spirits are high, and he's doing well."

Sean Kingston Feels A Lot Better After Weight Loss

It took a "life-or-death" jet-ski accident for Sean Kingston to realize he needed to get serious about his health. The 21-year-old sat down with MTV News on Tuesday night for "MTV First: Sean Kingston," and the "Beautiful Girls" singer opened up about his recovery from the accident as well as his new lease on life.

At the time of his May 29 accident in the Miami area, Kingston weighed more than 300 pounds, but he has lost nearly 50 pounds in the past two months. "Actually, I shed like 45 pounds, and I've been working out every day. So I've been really getting my healthiness [together].

"Right now, I do the bicycle, I do the treadmill, I play basketball. But I got to keep it up and lose more weight," Kingston told Sway. "It's easy to gain weight when you're in the studio. That's how it first started out but I'm cutting all that out. I don't eat after 6 [p.m.], and then I really just do the treadmill, and that's what it is. I feel a lot better."

Kingston was heavily medicated while hospitalized, recovering from heart surgery and a number of injuries, including a broken jaw. But now that he's feeling better, he's no longer taking any meds. "I was on pain medication, Percocet," he confirmed. "I don't take it no more, though. I don't have any more pain."

Sean was fully aware that many artists have become addicted to pain medications, though, so he had his mom help him monitor his use of the medications. "I had no problem with that," he said of watching his doses. "My mom made sure and kept an eye on it and make sure I wasn't overdoing it."

During the interview, Kingston also revealed a previously unseen photo that showed him in the hospital with his mouth wired shut.

Kingston explained to Sway that he was going about 35 miles an hour on his jet ski during Memorial Day weekend when he miscalculated how high the tide had risen and collided with a bridge. He asked his mom to take that photo of him so it would serve as a reminder of that painful time.

"I remember it, it was crazy," he said looking at the photo again. "At that time, if you notice, I got my mouth wired. Just have it as a memory, because I know the accident is always gonna live with me, but just to have a memory of that time ... I just wanted to have a picture so I can look back at that time."

Soulja Boy's $55 Million Jet And Other Toys Of The Rich And Famous

July 28 was Soulja Boy’s 21st birthday, and in honor of the milestone, the rapper decided to get himself something nice. Very nice.

TMZ reportedly spoke to a member of Soulja’s management team, who said the "Crank That" singer purchased a, ahem, $55 million private jet to celebrate the occasion. Well, the jet itself was only $35 million, but Soulja is spending another $20 million to customize it with Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, multiple bars, tiled floors and Brazilian hardwood cabinets.

So, first things first: Happy belated birthday, Soulja Boy. Have fun at the $300,000 party you are throwing for yourself in Miami tonight. Second, Soulja Boy has $55 million to spend on a private jet? That’s crazy!

Celebrities are well-known for spending insane amounts of cash to pamper themselves with the best of everything – Madonna reportedly slathers $500 cream on her visage, Jennifer Aniston regularly jets down to Los Cabos, Mexico, for five-star vacations, and rappers the world over have been singing the praises of Cristal champagne, which sells for several hundred dollars a bottle, for years. And as anyone who’s ever watched “Cribs” knows, celebs love to splurge on fancy cars, motorcycles and boats.

In honor of Soulja’s big boy toy, here’s a rundown of some of the most lavish rides of the rich and famous.

Oprah Winfrey’s Private Jet
The former talk show host (that was a weird thing to type) and current OWN CEO told Duke University’s 2009 graduates, “It’s great to have a private jet. Anyone that tells you that having your own private jet isn’t great is lying to you.” She would know. Winfrey cruises the skies in a $42 million custom-build Global Express XRS plane built by Bombardier Aerospace.

Paul Allen’s Fighter Jet
The Microsoft co-founder, who also owns a 303-foot yacht and several planes, recently purchased a restored Russian MiG-29 fighter jet that was once used by the Ukrainian Air Force. A Russian fighter jet! For when you need to get somewhere in a hurry (and maybe take out an enemy en route?), we assume.

Pharrell Williams’ Floating Studio
Pharrell is a workaholic. The super producer is hard at work even when he is on the ultimate luxury vacation: yachting on the high seas. Williams had a massive recording studio built inside his multi-million-dollar yacht.

Jay Leno’s Vehicle Collection
The “Tonight Show” host’s love of classic cars and bikes is no secret – his garage even has its own website. Leno’s collection is reported to exceed 200 vehicles, approximately 100 cars and 100 bikes. His car collection is said to be one of the largest private collections of classic cars in the world. Leno houses his rides in a 17,000 square foot garage called “The Big Dog Garage.” He has a 1906 Baker electric car that runs on batteries designed by Thomas Edison, a 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II, a Monteverde and a Bugatti Atlantic, representing over 100 years of automotive history. The comic has never formally valued his collection, though just one of his cars, a McLaren Supercar, is worth over $1 million itself.
